We provide neurodiversity-affirming social communication support that helps children build friendships while staying true to who they are. Our approach recognises and respects individual differences in communication and social interaction, and we focus on supporting authentic connection rather than teaching children to mask or copy “typical” behaviours.
Therapy supports the development of practical social communication skills such as sharing interests, joining and participating in play and group activities, taking turns, and managing communication breakdowns. Children are supported to understand different perspectives, recognise social cues in ways that make sense to them, and develop skills to advocate for their own needs, preferences, and boundaries.
Sessions are strengths-based, engaging, and play-based, and are tailored to each child’s communication style, interests, and goals. We also work closely with families, educators, and support teams to help skills generalise across home, school, and community settings. Our goal is to support children to develop meaningful, respectful friendships in ways that feel safe, empowering, and true to who they are.
