Claire Mahoney

Director / SENIOR Physiotherapist

The Director and Physiotherapist of Osana is Claire Mahoney. Claire has always had a passion to inspire children and young people to achieve their goals and over the last 20 years she has worked throughout Australia and Singapore in the health and fitness industry with children, young people and adults.

Claire’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at The University of Sunshine Coast in 2003, and Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University on the Gold Coast 2014.

With Claire’s background and passion for children to achieve their best she established Osana in 2016 for children of all ages.

Claire enjoys family time with her children Kaia and Parker as well as taking Ella (Osana’s therapy dog) for a run.

Eider Murua Aizpurua

Physiotherapist

Eider is an energetic and caring paediatric physiotherapist, who grew up in Spain and moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2020. Eider has been working at Osana since then and has continued her passion for helping children achieve their goals, encouraging a better lifestyle and quality of life.

Eider completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona in 2017 and specialised in children with a Master in Paediatrics Physiotherapy at Universidad Ramon Llull, Barcelona in 2019.

Eider has an interest in developmental and musculoskeletal conditions. She is driven to keep up-to-date and learn about treatment options to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for her clients including hydrotherapy, pilates reformer and Schroth method for scoliosis therapy.

In her free time, Eider enjoys water activities, playing the piano and exploring new places.

Annie Thurlow

SENIOR Physiotherapist

Annie is a New Zealand trained physiotherapist with over 16 years experience in paediatrics.

After graduating Annie moved to Melbourne and worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital completing their paediatric training program. She subsequently held many senior roles in both paediatric orthopaedics and neurodevelopmental caseloads. While residing in Melbourne she also completed her Masters in Paediatric Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne.

Most recently Annie has been living in Tauranga, New Zealand where she worked in a senior paediatric role, assessing and treating a wide variety of conditions including orthopaedic, pain management, developmental and cardiorespiratory. Annie has a passion for treating both neurodevelopmental and orthopaedic/musculoskeletal conditions especially in infants and the younger child.

Annie recently moved to the Sunshine Coast with her husband and two boys; on the weekends you will find them hunting for the best playgrounds and coffee spots.

Catherine Bagley

Senior Physiotherapist

Catherine graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 1973. Her new graduate year was spent at the Bundaberg Base Hospital.

Subsequently, she worked at the Queensland Spastic Welfare League, and after a year in London, at The Hospital for Sick Children in Great Ormond Street she came home to work as senior physiotherapist at the Mater Children’s Hospital. She has continued working with neonates and children since that time, involved in clinical work, research, lecturing, examining and running a private paediatric practice.

For many years she and her colleagues have run the Mater Neonatal Physiotherapy Course, more recently called “NICU to prep” and in 2008, she ran a similar course in Tel Aviv, Israel. Prior to that, with the group called “Nadezhda”, which means “Hope” she visited Moscow to teach, and to assess and treat children with various neurological conditions.

She has conducted several clinical trials, published and presented, both nationally and internationally, in the areas of clubfoot, chest physiotherapy and the neuromotor behavioural assessment and follow-up of neonates at risk of developmental differences.

She has provided many years of guidance, training and mentoring to numerous neonatal/paediatric physiotherapists.

As she moved towards retirement, she undertook some voluntary work in Palm Island with the “SOS Health Foundation”- A life changing experience, and something to be highly recommended for physiotherapists at any stage in their careers.

She has recently welcomed the opportunity to continue working with children and babies at Osana.

She has many interests, but especially enjoys spending time with her little grandchildren who also live on the Sunshine Coast.

Catherine is available for bookings for infants under 12months of age.

Natalie Coulter

Receptionist

Natalie is our friendly receptionist and will welcome you to Osana.

Natalie has always had a passion for helping children, having five children of her own. She joined Osana in 2022 to further assist children in achieving their true potential and to aid a wonderful team.

Natalie has an Advanced Diploma of Business Administration.

In her free time Natalie enjoys walking her Great Dane and Rough Collie. Can usually be found reading or listening to audiobooks with a needle in hand stitching.

Ella

Therapy Dog

Ella is a Hungarian Vizsla that has been working with Osana’s clients since she was a puppy. Ella is able to attend your child’s session upon request. Ella helps calm and motivate and most of all she loves cuddles and pats. 

Ella has a wonderful caring nature and will attend to your needs if you need a cuddle or want her to run around with you outside.
